Microsoft said it earned $6.66 billion or 74 cents per share on revenue of $19.02 billion. This is a percentage increase of 60% for profits and 13% for revenues. Investors thought Microsoft would earn 59 cents a share. This was a huge beat for Microsoft on boosted earrings from Windows 7. Windows 7 demand was said to be “exceptional” according to chief financial officer Peter Klein .
