Top 200 executives from 2009 – 2010 saw their salaries increase 23%. The average American employee saw their salary increase only 1% during the same period.

$10.8 million – median pay for the top 200 executives in 2010

$7.7 million – median executive pay package in 2009

38- percent increase in cash bonuses from 2009 – 2010

$84.5 million – pay package for 9 moonths of work by Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman

$76.1 million – pay package in 2010 for Occidental Petroleum CEO Ray R. Irani

$56.9 million – salary in 2010 for CBS’ Leslie Moonves

29.2 – percent increase in profits for American businesses in the fourth quarter of 2010

Who Would Have Thought? America Voted the Funniest Country

30,000 people from around the world took the poll and America came out on top as the funniest country. The least funniest country was Germany… why do the Germans come in at the bottom of every personality poll? America was followed by the Spaniards and Italians. Britons known for their wit and sarcasm came in at number seven!! Even the uptight French beat out the British. How did this happen? Read more about the Badoo.com poll at TheWeek.com.
