Bag Fees by Airline

I just got back from the Consumer Electronics Show and I was shocked that my airline charged $15 to check my bag! This is $15 each way. There is nothing more annoying than fees. If airlines were upfront about baggage fees charging the fee when you purchase your ticket or simply raise ticket prices slightly factoring in the baggage fee it would be fine. Baggage fees are hidden charges plain and simple and they need to stop. Visit Southwest.com

To help you decide in advance what airline to go with I’ve compiled baggage fees of the most popular airlines.

– Continental $25 first bag $35 second w/ $20 surcharge for trips to Europe

– Delta $25 first bag $35 second w/ $20 surcharge for trips to Europe

– United Airlines $25 $35 second w/ $20 surcharge for trips to Europe

– Southwest Airlines $0.00 1st / $0.00 2nd

– Alaska $15 1st / $25 2nd

– American $20 1st / $30 2nd

– Frontier $15 1st / $25 2nd

– JetBlue $0.00 1st / $20 2nd

Hope this helps!
