Berg’s Little Printer Print Tiny To-Do-Lists

Most people think of printers as large devices that get used whenever you need things printed on paper, on an on-demand basis. There’s very little innovation seen in this field, and between ink-jet and laser printers, we tend to dismiss them as old technology. But a company recently announced a brand new device, that is nothing like the existing products out there. Named Little Printer, the tiny square box provides a very different way to look at data and information, and can automatically print a wide range of information in an easy to read format.

Little Printer is a small printer that contains a long roll of thin paper. It’s not meant as a general purpose printer, instead it’s very specific, and accepts commands from its accompanying smartphone app. Through subscriptions and content networks, it gathers information from the Internet, and prints relevant information for you to read. For example, you can ask it to print out the current weather, and it will automatically fetch the correct information, format it to look perfect on paper, and print on a small slice of paper the information you need. You can then bring that with you wherever you go, without the need to bring a connected device. The same can be done with news, Foursquare check-ins for your friends, birthday reminder, daily events, and so on. Two users can even send themselves messages, and these will be printed on the receiving device.

But what makes it even more useful is the automatic features it can gather from RSS feeds and other content sites. For example, when you wake up in the morning, your Little Printer may have printed your horoscope, your daily puzzle, and the recent headlines from your favorite newspapers and sites. You simply take the paper with you and read it while you eat breakfast or while on the train. No need to open a device, connect to a network, and navigate to each page or app manually. It’s all done for you, and presented in a way that’s beautiful and formatted for the paper stripe that comes out of it. It’s perfect for those who still value reading on paper, or who can’t be bothered with trying to navigate a tiny phone screen to get all the information they need. And since it’s paper, you can write on it, take notes, pin it to the fridge, file it in your agenda, or do anything you want. Then, when you’re done, you simply throw it away in the recycling bin.

Little Printer is a really innovative product, for people who still value paper and who love to get the information they need in a timely manner. The app is fully customizable and allows you to set delivery times for any type of information you need. Little Printer will always be there to print everything you need to know, when you need it, on clear, easy to read paper.
