Definitive Covideo Review by CashSherpa.com: Here’s What You Need to Know

Online marketers are always on the lookout to spruce up their email newsletters. While catchy text and images are usually enough, they won’t set you apart from the competition. It’s all about engaging the audience in every way possible, and adding videos to promote your business is a fun way to do that. Covideo offers a streamlined solution by adding videos to your newsletter and even converting text-based articles into video messages. Whether you’re a small business or an established company, Covideo is worth a try if you want to spice up your email marketing with videos.

Features

Creating a video is a straightforward process with Covideo. A few clicks let you record, preview, upload and send the video. If you already have a ready-made clip, just select the video from your hard drive and upload it to your Covideo account. Your Covideo account comes with templates and icons that are handy when creating newsletters, and depending on the plan, a vault that stores your data (including uploaded videos), a contact manager and viewing notifications. What I like best about Covideo is its partnerships with entities like Salesforce, EasyCare, Carfax and Artisan Consulting Group that extend the product’s capabilities even more.

Outlook Integration (Plus and Enterprise only). Covideo has an integrated add-in that lets you create videos right from Outlook and send them to people in your Outlook contacts list. This add-in also lets you reply directly to messages with videos attached and comes with the templates, icons and scripts included in your regular Covideo account.

Templates and Icons. No need to buy a separate template when creating your video newsletter. Simply use Covideo’s custom templates that you can modify to reflect your business or identity. Choose your own images to supplement the video and use custom links direct your audience to your website and other content. I like Covideo’s custom email icons that personalize newsletters even more by adding your photo or company logo.

Monitoring and Analytics. Another great feature is Covideo’s tracking report. It shows you real-time data (HotSpots) like number of viewers, views and which sections of the video were watched. It also tracks viewer clicks on your template links from the video (Exit Links), sending you an email each time someone watches the video.

Pricing

Covideo has three membership plans: Starter, Plus and Enterprise. The cheapest plan costs $29 per month, and the most expensive will set you back $99 per month. The “most popular” plan costs $49 per month. If you don’t want to commit, sign up for the free trial (lasts for 10 days) on this page: www.covideo.com/lp/freetrial.

Starter

Starter includes a standard email service, 3 templates, 100 videos, video recorder and email support. It’s for one user only and does not include the Outlook add-in.

Plus

Plus comes with all Starter features plus multiple user accounts, Outlook add-in, CRM embed codes, more than 90 templates, 500 videos, enhanced analytics and reporting and phone and email support.

Enterprise

The ultimate Covideo membership plan has all the features of Plus in addition to unlimited video storage, vault access, QR code utility, video reply and mobile apps (iPhone and Android).

Verdict

You won’t find a lot of reviews about Covideo’s products, but the ones that exist are mostly positive. The video email service is easy to use and provides excellent tracking and reporting. Go for the Plus plan if you are a small to medium business owner—it has everything you need to send out video newsletters plus several nice extras.

I am also searching for video generator which can create high quality disk images in short pan, my earlier version doesn’t support codec’s which sometimes give me headache due to its lethargic nature. I will try to use it and will be back for review.
