I remember the days scouring my grade school library bookshelf for the latest copies of Berenstain Bears. In fact I was such a huge fan a few years later I told a classmate that I like Berenstain Bears and he was shocked I “still read those books.” That sadly was the last time I read Berenstain Bears. I bring up this story because kids today still read books, but the platform they are read on are much different. In my time the platform was paper and ink now in the 21st century it’s mobile. Thankfully there is a author writing just for this 21st century platform called Waffle Books.

Waffle Books follows the adventures of Patrick, Kevin, Arty, and a few of their friends. When Matthew Ryan started writing children’s books his mission was to give kids access to a library of books they’d be interested in inside their pocket. A library full of books that are designed specifically for small screens.
How’s Matthew Ryan Doing Today?
Today I’m happy to report the response has been fantastic! Not only does Ryan get to follow his passion writing books, his books get 4+ ratings on Apple iBooks and many have been editorially featured by Apple, Google Play, and the Google Chrome Store.
Are There Any Bonuses?
Yes, like many many Patreon campaigns I’ve featured on Cash Sherpa there are bonuses. Do you worry! For $1 you get FULL ACCESS to the Waffle Book collection! Yes, you heard right only $1. That’s insanity! For only $5 get early access to books. $10 gets you behind the scenes. $15 or more per month gets you hand drawn characters, once a month in fact. You can’t even buy a mixed drink in New York for less than $15. The value of these bonuses are incredible.
Conclusion
I know it’s an old argument, but growing up with the Internet we got used to free or near free pricing. What I think we failed to realize is that when everything is free or nearly free it becomes generic, almost utility like. I think it’s already started, but society needs to support/value the people and products that resonate with us. It’s time we put our money where our mouth is. Let artists and creators earn money pursuing their passions. Support Matthew Ryan’s Patreon campaign today.
Better Date Nights Better Relationships With Datecrawl App

Want a better date night and as a result a better relationship? There’s a new app that looks to solve the age old question, “What should we do for date night?” The app is called Datecrawl. App was launched in Cincinnati two weeks ago for Android and iOs. Datecrawl is the world’s first platform designed to share datenight ideas and ultimately enhance relationships.
I know from experience coming up with new, fun date ideas can be daunting. It’s so easy to get stuck in the same dating routines especially when you find what you both enjoy doing together. Even things you both enjoy get a little stale after a while. Datecrawl puts the life back into your dating routine and provides you with helpful tips for things like what to order, where to park, and so on. If a date doesn’t work out just blame it on Datecrawl.
What Does The App Look Like?
Where Can I Download App?
– Apple iOS https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/datecrawl/id1075707476?mt=8
– Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hdhkllc.datecrawl&hl=en
Is The App Any Good?
App gets 4.5 out of 5 on iOs out of 8 reviews and it’s not rated on Android.
I really like this idea. It seems there are a lot of apps out there that help people get into relationships, but very few to help support those relationships. We need more apps like Datecrawl. Instead of making dating the only thing important in the app store, we need apps that help enhance current relationships. Like comedian Chris Rock said, “Relationships, easy to get into, hard to maintain.” May be with the help of apps like Datecrawl relationships won’t be as difficult to maintain anymore.
Protect Yourself From Phone Radiation With Avias

Ever wondered if radiation from your pocketed mobile phone is hurting your body? If the answer is yes than you’re like me. I think about this a lot. My phone is in my pocket pretty much wherever I go, for hours at a time. Even if it’s in your back pocket, how much better for you is this? What if I told you thanks to Kickstarter there is a company that’s making a mobile phone case that protects your body from cell phone radiation. The new gadget is called ‘Avias Radiation-shielded Leather Cell Phone Wallet Flip Case’ and it’s on Kickstarter:
This is one of those products that I think to myself, “Why didn’t I think of that?” In a way it’s common sense. Why wouldn’t a cell phone case protect the body from potentially harmful radiation? For the price of a fun night out, you get peace of mind about radiation, protection for your phone, and a stylish accessory to boot.
FYI: The side facing your body is shielded. If it was completely shielded you wouldn’t receive phone calls.
Why Should I Care?
“There is reason to be concerned about cell phone radiation and cancer. The World Health Organization calls it a Group 2B “possible carcinogen”. In May 2016, early results were released from a large rat study conducted by the US National Toxicology Program (NTP). The data showed an increased rate of certain brain and heart cancers in rats. Other studies have indicated cell phone radiation causes DNA damage. These troubling results inspired us at Avias to create a stylish leather phone case that could block RF radiation while being attractive and easy to use! The risks of cell phone radiation are still poorly understood. Why continue to expose yourself to radiation, when protection can be this easy, stylish and affordable?”
How The Technology Works
“Avias shielding technology works on the same basic principle as a Faraday Cage, using highly conductive materials to reflect radiative signals away from your body harmlessly. Our cases feature radiation shielding only in the front cover, which protects the user holding the phone to their ear, while still allowing the device to communicate. This means optimum convenience combined with shielding that’s backed by physics. Because this aspect of our product is so important, we’ve also conducted internal tests with cellular-frequency testing equipment to verify that the shielding is effective.”
What Else Do I Get?
“The case doubles as a “pocket protector”: when the phone is in your pocket, simply ensure the shielded front side is facing inward, against your body. Head protection is the most essential (because of the greater potential for cancer), but we’re pleased to offer protection at all times the phone is against your body.”
Any Rewards?
Yes, there are many rewards to this Kickstarter campaign. $5 gets you on the mailing list, $24 early bird special gets you one case, $30 get’s you a case as well, $40 early bird gets you two, $56 gets you two cases as well, $96 gets you four cases, and $200 gets you ten cases.
You don’t need to wear a tinfoil hat to be concerned about mobile phone radiation. This stylish Avias case with some peace of mind built in. You already need a cell phone case, why not purchase a case with radiation protection built in?

Beer Balancer Android App On Google
In the New Year a lot of you will be making resolutions. Help make 2015 the best year yet with this new unique app.
The Beer Balancer Android App is just the thing to help you get motivated for your workouts. The premise of the Beer Balancer App is it balances how intensely you need to workout based on your beer/alcohol drinking habits. For example the app might tell you earned 1 beer for 100 push ups. The Beer Balancer is a workout motivation technique that will add fun to exercise. Beer Balancing is earning alcoholic beverage consumption through physical exercise. It is a simple system to bring the user’s workout habits into equilibrium with their drinking habits. On the surface Beer Balancing is just a simple app to help the user keep track of their ‘balance’, but Beer Balancing also using gamification techniques to make the experience more engaging for the user. Ideally if you are working out you would want to severely limit your alcohol consumption, but I can see this app being a fun way to track your process. Review of Atrix 2 Cell Phone by CashSherpa.com

In the world of Android, it seems a new phone is being released almost every week. Between the various companies, we’re always seeing new models that provide new and interesting innovations. Motorola didn’t let up with the release of the Motorola Atrix 2, its latest offering in the realm of smartphones, available since late October. But how does it compare with its predecessors and the other Android offerings out there? Here’s a quick review of what the Atrix 2 is like, what it offers, and the best features this phone has.
The Motorola Atrix 2 is the follow up to the Atrix, a model that was released not that long ago, but is already obsolete with this new version. The Atrix 2 provides a 4.3 inches screen, which is slightly bigger than the previous model, it has 1GB of memory, just like the Atrix did, and the screen uses qHD technology at 960×540 pixel resolution. This handset however changes which chips Motorola uses. Instead of a Tegra 2 processor, here the company went with a TI OMAP dual-core CPU. And for graphics, instead of a GeForce chip, it uses a PowerVR SGX. Also, the camera is improved from 5MP to 8MP. All of this means that the new Atrix 2 is slightly faster and can provide crisper, more realistic graphics. Indeed, the first thing you notice when using this phone is how fast it is. The interface is MotoBlur on top of Android Gingerbread, which is the company’s customize Android version, and provides a very intuitive and fast experience. Scrolling through the pages doesn’t produce any lag, which isn’t the case with a lot of older models.
When it comes to the build itself, the Motorola Atrix 2 is a solid device, made of hard plastic, with a dedicated shutter button, a volume rocker, headphone jack, and a mini-USB and HDMI port to provide mirror capabilities on a large screen. The 8MP camera provides very clear and crisp images, and will satisfy most photography needs, while the front of the phone also features a VGA camera for video conferencing. This phone can take full HD videos, and the included 8GB SD card can be upgraded to store longer videos. Motorola also included a lot of its own software on top of the operating system, including some that businesses will like, including desktop sharing and media transfer options. Interestingly, this phone has less clutter than some previous models by the same company, with most of its added apps being uninstallable, and completely optional.
Overall, this smartphone is a great addition to the Android family, and a proper upgrade over the previous model. With the large 4.3″ screen, crisp display, and fast response, it’s everything a phone user would need, and with the high end camera, you couldn’t ask for much more from a modern phone. This device is available now on AT&T through a contract, and can be found in most stores.
