California’s Gas Price Sets A Record High, What’s Up With That?

When I saw this YouTube video ” WTF!?*&$@#?!!!! – Gas hits $5.45 a Gallon UP 50 cents Overnight!!!!” click here an SNL skit titled ‘What’s Up With That?’ began unfolding in my head. Summer driving season is over, gas is supposed to go down right? Why do gas prices go up fast on bad news and take a long time to go back down when the event passes? Election season conspiracy? Who knows… but what’s up with the gas prices!? In the video gas went up 45 cents overnight to $5.46 a gallon. Watch the video below. Someone is laughing about the obscene amount of money they are making while sitting on their gold platted latrine.

If there is one thing that could derail economic improvement in the United States it’s the price at the pump. Discretionary income is spent on gas rather than on iPad 2s. Gas causes everything to rise from food prices to United State Postal Service stamps. It seems constant global uncertainty is the new paradigm.
