Killzone Shadown Fall Hits 1 Million in Sales

It’s crazy to think Killzone Shadown Fall has already topped the 1 million sales mark. It leaves me asking why? May be it’s because there aren’t many games out there for consoles yet.

The news comes from Insiderp that as of December 20th 2013 Killzone Shadown Fall has hit one million in sales worldwide. Approx. 27% alone came from PS4 bundles.

I guess it pays to release your video game early. I for one don’t get it. It further illustrates why it pays to wait to purchase new video game consoles. When they first come out you are paying full price plus there are no supported video games.

Both XBox One and PS4 have sold over 2 million consoles worldwide so do the math how many own Killzone Shadown Fall.

We shale see in the next few months what new titles come out. I’m looking forward to video games that take advantage of both consoles unique features.

Dying Light XBox One & pS4 Video Game

Check out the amazing game play video of Dying Light for the XBox One and PS4. Could this be one of the best video games of all time? Please leave your comments. Some people think the game looks like Dead Island or Far Cry 3. The graphics look absolutely amazing though even if it’s reminds users of other video games.

Dying Light Release date: March 31, 2014

Here is some information taken directly from the Dying Light web site. In addition to PS4 and Xbox One, the game will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, but not Wii U.

Dying light will for sure play in 1080p on PS4 and it’s unknown what the resolution will be on Xbox One.

Survive the Night – During the day, players roam free and scavenge for supplies and weapons. But at night, the world undergoes a deadly transformation: the hunter becomes the hunted as the infected grow more aggressive and numerous, and something far more sinister awakens to stalk its prey.

Free Running Movement – Whether tracking prey or escaping predators, Dying Light lets players swiftly navigate the world by seamlessly leaping between buildings, grappling up walls and pouncing on unsuspecting enemies.

Open World Environments – Dying Light is set in a vast open world, delivering expansive and varied environments, a wide variety of enemy classes and a hopeless tale of survival where resources are scarce and the infected are not the only threat.

Brutal Melee and Ranged Combat – get up-close using a variety of light and heavy weapons including knives, bats, axes, sledgehammers and more exotic weaponry or utilize guns and other firepower to take down enemies from a distance.

Choose Your Play Style – Dying Light features four playable characters that can be fully customized and upgraded to match any play style.

Craft Your Weapon – Why use a wrench when you can use a wrench wrapped in electrified barbed wire? Dying Light’s sizeable crafting system enables players to create a slew of new, more potent weapons and equipment, as well as specialized ammunition.

Breathtaking Visuals and Gameplay – Dying Light is the first game powered by Chrome Engine 6, a cutting edge incarnation of Techland’s proprietary technology, designed from the ground up for the new console generation, DirectX 11 and other advanced solutions.

I for one am looking forward to getting my hands on Dying Light XBox One. Looks like an amazing video game.

XBox One and PlayStation 4 Sales Statistics

Who is the winner in this epic battle for game console domination? Well here are the cold hard facts released only hours ago:

PlayStation 4 is the winner.

United States:

Microsoft’s Xbox One is the winner in the US.

Total retail spend according to Microsoft on the XBox One is $1.21 billion

Both companies have announced they have surpassed the 2 million unit sales mark. Sony claims that it has sold 100,000 units more than the XBox One. The Sony PlayStation brand has been more popular in Europe and the XBox One enjoys more success here in the United States.

Our Take:

The XBox One is clearly the better choice when deciding what game console to go with. It’s backed by a larger company in Microsoft, has better games, more features, not just a game console, voice recognition, Kinect, and lots more. I honestly don’t know why it’s even a contest between the two. When people mention that the XBox One is so expensive I laugh because you’re talking about a $100 price difference. $100!! That’s it and for $100 it’s money well spent because it does so much more than the Play Station 4. I mean you definitely have the money when your willing to plunk down $60+ on one video game so don’t hide behind that excuse. Microsoft clearly has a vision that the XBox One will me the entertainment hub of the household. The PlayStation 4 is more of a dumbed down computer with not much to offer except a limited selection of video games at the moment.

So if your best argument is the PlayStation 4 is $100 cheaper than I have no sympathy for you. Buy yourself the real winning console, Microsoft’s XBox One.
